OUR STORY
HerGrindTime was founded by a survivor of homelessness, domestic violence, and systemic instability, who rebuilt her life while raising children in challenging circumstances. Through her experiences, she saw how often fathers, unmarried families, youth aging out of foster care, and veterans are overlooked or underserved by traditional support systems.
HerGrindTime exists to fill those gaps, providing emergency housing, wellness resources, and community guidance for families and veterans when they need it most.
Our Mission:
“HerGrindTime empowers families, veterans, and youth in crisis to achieve stability, healing, and opportunity through immediate support, wellness resources, and community-centered programs.”
Our Vision:
-
Short-term: Focus on the First 30 Days Housing Bridge, helping families and veterans stabilize and regain independence.
-
Long-term: Build the HerGrindTime Empowerment Village — a safe, supportive community offering transitional housing, wellness spaces, life-skills training, job readiness, childcare, and holistic support for all families, youth, and veterans starting over.
Core Values:
-
Empowerment: Helping individuals reclaim control over their lives.
-
Inclusivity: Supporting all families, youth, and veterans, regardless of structure or circumstance.
-
Resilience: Building programs that foster long-term stability and growth.
-
Community: Strengthening networks for shared healing, safety, and opportunity.
